New Site, New Me?
So, I built a new site…
After all the previous attempts to build a personal site, starting years ago with Jekyll, eventually moving to Hugo, actually getting a site out, and then promptly forgetting to write content for it- I think this is the one. I started building this with Astro, and after several false starts with various templates, and attempts to start from scratch, here we are. A real site. Where I’ve migrated content from my previous site.
What’s different this time?
So, Astro is a bit of a gamechanger for me. It feels like the right balance of control over the design (literally all of it), but being relatively maintainable and getting out of my way long term when it comes to the content. Now that I’ve got it set up, writing new posts feels like it will be significantly less work.
What am I going to post here?
No idea. History shows I probably won’t post anything here. But who knows, maybe this time really will be different. I have a lot more time to explore projects and document them as I go these days, so maybe there really will be more blogs. There also might just be ramblings.
